2026 NOPGA Razz Associate Scholarship

This scholarship was created in early 2026 with the purpose of providing financial assistance to at least one (1) NOPGA Associate to be used for PGM Associate Program Levels 1, 2, or 3 expenses.  NOPGA Members will have the voluntary option to help contribute to this scholarship effort on an annual basis to help support the future of our Section. Mike Pickett, PGA and his wife Elizabeth have committed an annual contribution of $1,000 to this scholarship which guarantees at least one (1) per year for the foreseeable future. The goal will be to be able to offer multiple scholarships annually to Associates. 

Beginning May 4, 2026, the application process will officially open allowing Associates the opportunity to apply for this scholarship.  The application window will close on Friday, June 26, 2026 upon which the scholarship committee will conduct an initial review of all applications, followed by an interview process for select candidates.  

See below for a list of a few eligibility requirements for all Associate applications:

• Associate must be active in good standing with their associate progress.
• Actively employed in the golf business and in the Northern Ohio Section.
• Acknowledgment that part of the application process will include a conversation and support request with the Associate’s supervisor (Class A PGA Member if applicable) as part of the review of the candidate pool.

Each scholarship will be a minimum of $1,000 and will be used for..

• PGM Associate Program testing/seminar fees (Frisco-based testing)
• A designated portion of associated travel expenses (Levels 2 and 3)
