History & Bio

Mike Pickett's journey in golf began at a young age growing up in Northeast Ohio. His passion for the game led him to pursue a career as a PGA Professional, combining his love of competition with a desire to help others improve their game.

After completing the PGA's rigorous apprenticeship program, Mike earned his PGA membership and began building a reputation as a skilled instructor and course operations expert in the Northern Ohio Section.

Mike has served as a PGA Professional at Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby, Ohio — one of Northeast Ohio's most storied private clubs — where he has developed programs for juniors, adults, and competitive players alike.

Recognizing that the mental side of golf is often the most overlooked, Mike became a certified FlowCode Golf Master Coach. His 'Master Your Flow' platform helps golfers of all skill levels unlock peak performance through proven mental coaching techniques.

Mike is the author of Par: Golf's Hidden Distraction, a book that challenges conventional thinking about the game and offers a fresh perspective on how golfers can improve by changing the way they think about par. The book is available at nopargolfer.com.

Mike's dedication to growing the game has been recognized by the Northern Ohio PGA Section with multiple Player Development Awards, including the 2023 and 2025 Northern Ohio PGA Player Development Awards — a testament to his impact on the local golf community.
